If there’s anything that I can do with my time and my day to somehow make a difference, while I’m alive, imma try to do it. Period.

We are following other people’s opinions. We are controlled by the media. And today it all changes.

I feel that [Trump] cares about the way black people feel about him, and he would like for black people to like him like they did when he was cool in the rap songs and all this.

Life is about growing and evolving. I feel like my life has been in stages, and the stages I went through when I was younger allowed me to grow into the man I am today.

There are three constants in life… change, choice and principles.

A man can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done.

It is in the ordinary events of every day that we develop the proactive capacity to handle the extraordinary pressures of life. It’s how we make and keep commitments, how we handle a traffic jam, how we respond to an irate customer or a disobedient child. It’s how we view our problems and where we focus our energies. It’s the language we use.

At the still-point in the center of the circle one can see the infinite in all things.

It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

A narrow mind and a fat head invariably come on the same person.

People are basically the same the world over. Everybody wants the same things – to be happy, to be healthy, to be at least reasonably prosperous, and to be secure. They want friends, peace of mind, good family relationships, and hope that tomorrow is going to be even better than today.

If you put that effort in, you’ll get what you want.

You will have failures in your life, but it is what you do during those valleys that will determine the heights of your peaks.

If you haven’t found it yet keep looking.

I’m wary of what goal I set, because then I’ll have to accomplish it.

I was once afraid of people saying ‘Who does she think she is?’ Now I have the courage to stand and say, ‘This is who I am.

Look back in forgiveness, forward in hope, down in compassion, and up with gratitude.
