In a lot of ways it is easier to do things on a large scale. It is easier to build a skyscraper in Manhattan than it is to buy a bungalow in the Bronx. For one thing, it takes just as much time to close a big deal as it does to close a small deal. You will endure as much stress and aggravation; you will have all the same headaches and problems. It is easier to finance a big deal. Bankers would much rather lend money for a big project than for a small one. They are more comfortable investing money in a big prestigious building than they are a rundown house in a bad section of town. If you succeed with the big project, you stand to gain a lot more money.

Better an ‘oops’ than a ‘what if’.

The most important persuasion tool you have in your entire arsenal is integrity.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is the ability to act effectively, in spite of fear.

I’m a constant learner. You need to be a constant student because things change and you have to change and grow. And I emphasize the word ‘grow.’

Never, ever give up. There will be times in your life you’ll want to quit, you’ll want to go home, you’ll want to go home perhaps to that wonderful mother that’s sitting back there watching you and say, ‘Mom, I can’t do it. I can’t do it.’ Just never quit. Go back home and tell mom, dad, ‘I can do it, I can do it. I will do it.’ You’re going to be successful.

I’d rather welcome change than cling to the past.

If you put that effort in, you’ll get what you want.

Accountability breeds response-ability.
