The universe, at any given point, in any given time, is expanding indefinitely in all directions. So trust me when I say, ‘you are the center of mine.’

You be the clouds above, I’ll be the grass below, and everything in between will be where our love will grow.

Not everything I write will be a masterpiece; I know that. It is a process selecting words to convey feelings never meant to be spoken. So maybe I’ve been searching for what’s already been said and this is the finest way I can say it. I love you, in everything I am, I love you.

I choose you, again and again at the start and finish of every single day, no matter the season, no matter the age. I choose you to struggle and succeed with, to fight and wake up with, to love and grow old with. I choose you, knowing there are still trails we must travel, knowing there are mountains left to climb. I choose you to always be by my side.

To me, you’ll always be the rising suns, the sinking moons, and all the stars that come between the sound of rain and river stones, the warmth of my sheets, the ache in my bones.

I thought about writing a poem explaining how when you are lost at sea, even if you are rescued and survive, you never really come back. Then I realized everyone that’s ever been in love would already understand.

Some life lessons don’t ever change. But how you embrace them will distinguish you from the pack.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

If we knew the meaning to everything that is happening to us, then there would be no meaning.

I love the beach. I love the sea. All my life I live within – in front of the sea.

If you don’t know what it is you want – and I mean specifically – then you won’t even know when you have it.

Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.

Of all the follies the elder generation falls victim to this is the most foolish, namely, the constant criticism of the younger element who will not be and cannot be like ourselves because we and they are different tribes produced of different elements in the great spirit of Time.

You have got to decide, look, this is who I am; this is my best way to present myself, and I’m going to ride that horse to the finish line. Not everybody will like it, but that’s OK.

Man is always more than he can know of himself; consequently, his accomplishments, time and again, will come as a surprise to him.

We all have different reasons for forgetting to breathe.

Name the greatest of all inventors. Accident.

Life is neither old or new, ancient or modern, but simply more or less vivid-any song or musical composition will live that expresses or reproduces this vividness of life.-From this you will see that I believe that music fills a great place. The teaching of it goes far to restore the balance and richness of life, and-I might add- the unit of life also.

The quickest way to become troubled is to be concerned with what people say about your work.

All this is only for the mice and myself to admire!
