I’ve seen firsthand that being president doesn’t change who you are. It reveals who you are.

People in the beauty community don’t like copycats, so I think it’s important to stay true to who you are and people will stay your customer.

When I’m happier and healthier, my family is happier and healthier, and it affects how I interact with my friends and the people I work with.

My last year in high school, I worked at a bindery, side by side with grown-ups who had been there their entire lives. Knowing that I, as a 16-year-old, was getting the same income and doing the same work… it gave me respect for those workers. But it also gave me an understanding that more is needed for folks to be able to cobble together a decent life on minimum wage.

I was probably 10 or 11 when I saw that, and sort of started thinking, ‘You know what? Marriage is an option. Having a family is an option. And going to school and getting your education and building your career is another really viable option that can lead to happiness and fulfillment.

When they go low, we go high.

There are only two rules for being successful. One, figure out exactly what you want to do, and two, do it.

It was just inconceivable to me I couldn’t win it all.

If you want to double your success rate, you need to double your failure rate.

It’s a great thing when you can show that you’ve been successful and that you’ve made a lot of money and that you’ve employed a lot of people.

A lot of people don’t like to win. They actually don’t know how to win, and they don’t like to win because down deep inside they don’t want to win.

In the end, you’re measured not by how much you undertake but by what you finally accomplish.

I don’t cheat to win, I’d rather lose.

We learned about gratitude and humility – that so many people had a hand in our success, from the teachers who inspired us to the janitors who kept our school clean… and we were taught to value everyone’s contribution and treat everyone with respect.

The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.

Losing is tough.

I’ve become very successful over the years. I think I own among the greatest properties in the world.

A successful person finds the right place for himself. But a successful leader finds the right place for others.

Once a man has made a commitment to a way of life, he puts the greatest strength in the world behind him. It’s something we call heart power. Once a man has made this commitment, nothing will stop him short of success.

All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then Success is sure.

Only he is successful in his business who makes that pursuit which affords him the highest pleasure sustain him.
