Maybe I shouldn’t have these dreams and aspirations. Maybe I should have given up on life ten years ago and stopped fighting for my truth.

There’s nothing I really wanted to do in life that I wasn’t able to get good at. That’s my skill. I’m not really specifically talented at anything except for the ability to learn. That’s what I do. That’s what I’m here for.

I don’t think Disney gets enough credit as a director. When people talk about their favourite directors of all time, Disney has some dope movies under his belt too.

When I’ve talked about the idea of being President, I’m not saying I have any political views, I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity. On people. On the truth.

I think it’s important for us to have open conversations about mental health, especially with me being black, because we’ve never had therapists in the black community, we’ve never taken medication. I think it was good that when I had my first complete blackout at age 5, my mom didn’t fully medicate me, because I might not have fully been Ye.

Ask a boxer: In the third round, when he hit you from the side on your ear, how did that specifically feel? You wouldn’t ask a boxer that. Because you know they’re there to fight. Meaning now you know I’m here to fight. I’m here to fight for the re-education of what celebrity is.

I’m really an old-fashioned girl, and I think I’m totally sexy.

I’m fragile just washed upon the shore.

My principal sin is doubt. I doubt everything, and am in doubt most of the time.

I’ve never had a problem with how I look. I’d rather have lunch with friends than go to the gym.

I feel beautiful without makeup on, but when I do put makeup on, it just gives me this extra pop.

The only service a friend can really render is to keep up your courage by holding up to you a mirror in which you can see a noble image of yourself.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks, as long as you’re happy.

Please stop debating about whether or not I aged well. Unfortunately it hurts all 3 of my feelings…

The way I define beauty is individuality and wisdom, which I think creates a certain inner confidence. And not confidence in a way that’s only on the surface, but a deep-down knowing of yourself or settling into who you are.

I’m just a broken person looking for other broken people who may have gotten shards of me stuck in their feet and aren’t too concerned about pulling them out.

Never be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy.

Loving yourself…does not mean being self-absorbed or narcissistic, or disregarding others. Rather it means welcoming yourself as the most honored guest in your own heart, a guest worthy of respect, a lovable companion.

What makes you different or weird. That’s your strength.

It doesn’t have to take over your life, it doesn’t have to define you as a person, it’s just important that you ask for help. It’s not a sign of weakness.

No matter who you are, no matter where you come from, you are beautiful.
