Well, the Washington consensus – which is basically designed for the Third World to make it that way, and keep it that way – it’s now being applied not just to the Third World countries, but to the rich industrial societies, with the United States and Britain in the lead.

The universities…are not independent institutions. There may be independent people scattered around in them but that is true of the media as well. And it’s generally true of corporations. It’s true of Fascist states, for that matter. But the institution itself is parasitic.

Ample work in mainstream political science shows that a majority of voters are not represented by their own elected representatives, who listen to different voices – the voices of the donor class, great wealth and the corporate sector.

He knows nothing; and he thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career.

You cannot put Russia down on its knees and hold it there because Russia will ultimately pull out.

There is no longer anything I can fear. There is nothing the government has not done to me. There isn’t any pain I haven’t known.
