If emotional pain or problems have cropped up in your life, you must insist on getting closure. Closure means you don’t carry the problem or the pain. You address the issue, then you slam shut the book and put it away.

I just am not good at math.

The number one need in all people is the need for acceptance, the need to experience a sense of belonging to something and someone. The need for acceptance is more powerful in your family than anywhere else…. If that need is not met by your family, trust me, your kids will go elsewhere to seek it in order to find approval and acceptance.

I’m one of those that believes you can’t be one kind of a man and another kind of president.

You have to name it to claim it.

If you’ve gone into a marriage and you haven’t been clear about how you’re going to handle money, how you want to raise kids, who is going to work or stay home or what have you, then you’ve set yourself up for failure.

It is because I think so much of warm and sensitive hearts, that I would spare them from being wounded.

Your experience will be a lesson to all of us men to be careful not to marry ladies in very high positions.

Men fall in love with their eyes. Women fall in love with their ears.

Good relationships feel good. They feel right. They don’t hurt.

Relationships are truly like a garden, if you tend it, water it, weed it and feed it, it will grow into a beautiful garden. If you only go out there every few weeks to look it over for a few moments, what do you think it’s going to look like in a few months? It’s going to be a weed patch. It will disappear.

You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful – I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything….Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.

I was lucky I always got along with girls. It was never like a big deal. I had a lot of girls that I was friends with that I wasn’t sexual with. I think having two older sisters made me comfortable like that. I just like people, so I can just go up and say whatever.

Partnerships must have loyalty and integrity at their core.

Relationships are negotiated and if you deal with ultimatums and authority all the time, then you’re not going to get anywhere.

It’s like in golf… A lot of people – I don’t want this to sound trivial – but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive… it’s weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can’t sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist.

Each man takes care that his neighbor shall not cheat him. But a day comes when he begins to care that he does not cheat his neighbor. Then all goes well — he has changed his market-cart into a chariot of the sun.

The most beautiful girls wear their hearts on their sleeves and their souls in their smiles.

She was not for everyone, but she was for me.

A lover cannot be chosen a la smorgasbord. A lover has to be chosen from soul-craving. To choose just because something mouthwatering stands before you will never satisfy the hunger of the soul-self. And that is what the intuition is for; it is the direct messenger of the soul.

I wasn’t looking to be gay. I was quite upset when I discovered that was part of my life. I wished it would go away. But you can’t change who you are. And I tried to fight it in the beginning. And then I had a cancer scare in the mid-70’s. And that turned out to be a mistake, and I thought, ‘Life is too short.’
