The only card [Hillary Clinton] has is the woman’s card. She’s got nothing else to offer and frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get 5 percent of the vote. The only thing she’s got going is the woman’s card, and the beautiful thing is, women don’t like her.

Your business, and your brand must first let people know what you care about and that you care about them.

In a lot of ways it is easier to do things on a large scale. It is easier to build a skyscraper in Manhattan than it is to buy a bungalow in the Bronx. For one thing, it takes just as much time to close a big deal as it does to close a small deal. You will endure as much stress and aggravation; you will have all the same headaches and problems. It is easier to finance a big deal. Bankers would much rather lend money for a big project than for a small one. They are more comfortable investing money in a big prestigious building than they are a rundown house in a bad section of town. If you succeed with the big project, you stand to gain a lot more money.

I do respect them; I have great respect for women. In fact, one of the reasons ‘The Apprentice’ was such a successful show for so many years, the audience of women was fantastic.

The worst things in history have happened when people stop thinking for themselves and listen to other people and, even worse, start following other people. That’s what gives rise to dictators.

The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

I feel like the thing we can do is celebrate people doing great work and create more cultural momentum and awareness that this is an important thing in the world. So when the next economic crisis hits and people are talking about where to cut from the budget, science isn’t the thing.

If you aspire to be a leader of your own country, you must speak your own language, for God’s sake.

Don’t necessarily avoid sharp edges. Occasionally they are necessary to leadership.

In real life, if I were firing you, I’d tell you what a great job you did, how fantastic you are, and how you can do better someplace else. If somebody steals, that’s different, but generally speaking, you want to let them down as lightly as possible. It’s not a very pleasant thing. I don’t like firing people.

And give… give more credit to others and don’t assume they’re mean until you know they’re actually mean.

Teamwork makes the dream work, but a vision becomes a nightmare when the leader has a big dream and a bad team.

A great leader has to be flexible, holding his ground on the major principles but finding room for compromises that can bring people together. A great leader has to be savvy at negotiations so we don’t drown every bill in pork barrel bridges to nowhere. I know how to stand my ground – but I also know that Republicans and Democrats need to find common ground to stand on as well.

Effective leadership is putting first things first. Effective management is discipline, carrying it out.

The challenge of leadership is to create change and facilitate growth.

Everything rises and falls on leadership.

A great leader’s courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position.

It’s easy to demonise people, you’re usually wrong about it, people are nicer than you think.

The best leaders are humble enough to realize their victories depend upon their people.

The very essence of leadership is having vision.

Most great leaders in history that I’ve studied always need to get as wide a range of opinions as possible so that they can have sufficient information to make the right decisions.
