I had discovered art, or truth, or whatever you want to call it; I had seen a light I’d follow forever.

There’s a spiritual satisfaction that one gets from listening and playing good Jazz.

A Jazz man should be saying what he feels: humor, sadness, joy… all the things that humans have.

Jazz can only enhance the Classical side and Classical can only enhance the Jazz side.
