All personal achievement starts in the mind of the individual. Your personal achievement starts in your mind. The first step is to know exactly what your problem, goal or desire is.

Every great man, every successful man, no matter what the field of endeavor, has known the magic that lies in these words: every adversity has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.

Regardless of who you are or what you have been, you can be what you want to be.

Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them.

In spite of his practical ability, some of his experience had petrified into maxims and quotations.

Nature is often hidden, sometimes overcome, seldom extinguished.

That man is idle who can do something better.

If we had more time for discussion we should probably have made a great many more mistakes.

All wonder is the effect of novelty on ignorance.

The world will only, in the end, follow those who have despised as well as served it.
